In 2012, my dog, Squid Vicious, was diagnosed and treated for bilateral iliopsoas strains and underwent stem cell/PRP surgery with Drs. Sherman & Debra Canapp at VOSM in Baltimore, MD. Following her surgery, I sought the very best team to help in Squid’s recovery. This included Bobbie Lyons Ccft for core strengthening and fitness exercises, Ken Bain LMT for canine trigger point therapy and Rocky Mountain School of Animal Acupressure & Massage for my massage certification in 2016. I was so inspired by Ken Bain's results with Squid that I signed up for every trigger point therapy seminar he offered.
My role is to help your canine athlete attain and maintain a sound state as a complement to your veterinarian's recommendations. The specific results of massage sessions will be different for each dog. Benefits of massage include increased circulation of blood and lymph, pain relief, mood elevation, improved flexibility, increased range of motion, increased performance and decreased recovery time from performance or injury.
